目前为止主持和承担省部级、厅级科研课题6项，教研课题3项，参编规划教材3部，发表科研论文12篇，其中SCI收录杂志3篇，影响因子超过14，CSCD论文1篇。教研论文14篇。担任《无机化学》、《医用无机化学》等课程，2013年获得湖南省高校教师课堂比赛一等奖，2013年获得湖南省教育公会颁发的“芙蓉百岗明星”荣誉称号。

主要从事生物传感器的应用研究。
