Organismscomeintobeing,develop,surviveandreproduce,oftengivingrisetonewlineageswhileinteractingwiththeabioticandbioticelementsonEarth.Studyingtheinterfacesbetweenecology,evolutionanddevelopmentprovidesexcitingnewopportunitiesinunderstandingpatternsandprocessesofgenerationofbiodiversityandprocessesoftheweboflife.Suchknowledgeprovidesthemoststableplatformtoconservebiodiversity.Weusemultipleapproachesinouranalyses:molecularsystematics,genomics,environmentalandancientDNA,morphologyandmorphometrics,bioacoustics,imaging,ecologicalmodelingandmanytechniquesindevelopmentalbiology.Thoughwedonotemphasizeonastudygroup,ourlabhasstudiedmostlyamphibiansandfreshwaterfishes,andweworkmostlyonOldWorldfauna.
