Dr Marie Polley has a BSc in Biomedical Sciences and PhD in molecular carcinogenesis. She is also a Reiki teacher and practitioner. Whilst a Research Fellow at Breast Cancer Haven

and Lecturer at the University of Westminster, Dr Polley has conducted qualitative content analysis into the patient's perception of the benefits of complementary therapies in cancer support care and recently (2007) completed a review of patient data in the Polyclinic.
