I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Life Sciences. My background is in botany, plant physiology and herbal medicine. I have over 25 years experience as a practitioner of western herbal medicine in the community, including consultancy for the health charity Wellwomen Information.

I coordinated a clinical trial investigating herbal treatment of the menopause in collaboration with the University of Central Lancashire and local health authority, and advised the longitudinal study ALSPAC about complementary health research.

Since joining the University of Westminster in 2011, I have been course leader for the MSc Herbal Medicine, module leader for level 5 core pathophysiology, supervised undergraduate, postgraduate and PhD students, and taught across a range of modules from level 3-7.
