Dr. Chambers studies mechanisms of, and biomarkers for, tumor metastasis and dormancy, with a particular focus on breast cancer. Metastases are responsible for most breast cancer deaths and ways to better treat, delay or prevent metastases are needed. She collaborates with imaging scientists in the Department to use various imaging modalities to image these processes.
