Scott Witherow specializes in current biochemistry and biotechnology methodologies and practices. His main interest is preparing students to use modern technologies by teaching not only the theory behind the technique, but in teaching students to apply those techniques in laboratory settings.

Witherow has a strong record of both research and pedagogical work in biochemical sciences. He has published several research articles in peer-reviewed journals in the fields of cancer biology, G protein-mediated signaling and immunology. He also has a strong interest in science education, as evidenced by multiple peer-reviewed publications in education journals in the field of biochemistry and cell biology.  Most recently, he has co-authored a book entitled Molecular Biology Techniques: A Classroom Laboratory Manual (to be published in 2012 by Elsevier).
