Steven Hendrix participated in the design and construction of prototype chemical analysis instrumentation, utilizing advanced data acquisition and control software. Since 1993, he has worked with the Center of Ocean Technologies at USF, collaborating on the development and construction of autonomous underwater vehicles to be used for U.S. Navy anti-mine activities and oceanographic studies. These unmanned submarines are rigged to gather and analyze water samples.
