Kenyon Evans-Nguyen is interested in the application of mass spectrometry and analytical chemistry to forensic science. He specializes in the development of new methods for detection of controlled substances in toxicology analyses.
Williams maintains an active research program with undergraduate students which have resulted in numerous scientific presentations and peer-reviewed publications in both cancer research (Wei S, 2009, PNAS ) and pedagogical journals highlighting best practices in teaching microbiology/biology (Williams, AH, 2010 & 2011, JMBE ). She and her students have presented their work at many scientific research conferences, science education conferences and other seminars. She is involved with the American Society for Microbiology (ASM), the pre-health professional students through advising and student organizations, and engages in microbiology related outreach to the community.
