My current research interests focus on synaptic physiology in Alzheimer's disease. My PhD focused on understanding amyloid β mediated synaptic modifications that correlate with the emergence of cognitive impairment in a mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease. Having established a mouse model for early cognitive impairment, my current project aims to understand the involvement of tau protein in mediating this early synaptic dysfunction.
