研究领域
Professor Osborn’s research interests focus on the development of new chemical and enzymatic methods for the treatment of life threatening diseases. Within her current research programmes, particular emphasis is placed on the synthesis and biological analysis of enzyme activated prodrugs, for the selective treatment of cancer and bacterial infections, and carbohydrate based therapeutics, for the treatment of AIDS, cancer and influenza. She has an established reputation for the development of selective treatments for metastatic melanoma, with prodrugs that have been examined in these studies receiving International patent protection. She also has long term interests in the development of anti-infective agents, glycosidase enzyme inhibitors, anti-viral agents and personalised medicines.
