研究领域
The Hayes research group is focussed upon the generation of novel polymeric materials using either state-of-the-art synthetic chemistry methods or molecular recognition phenomena - in particular, development of new self-assembled polymer systems, hyperbranched polymers and photochemical polymerisation reactions. The materials generated are targeted towards uses as new surface coatings and drug delivery systems. This research is carried out in collaboration with colleagues from Chemistry (Dr Russell and Professors Colquhoun and Hamley), Pharmacy (Dr Greco and Professors Osborn and Williams) and the Centre for Advanced Microscopy (Dr Harris and Professor Mitchell).
