个人简介

My research interest resides in expression proteomics which is the study of the regulation of protein expression in function of cell activity, external stimuli and diseases. This interest began during my Master in biomedical technology (1991) at the Catholic University of Louvain (Belgium). It further developed during my PhD at the University of Sydney (1998) and a postdoctoral position in the institute of biochemistry and cellular genetic in Bordeaux (France) where I studied the proteomic changes associated with muscle development and yeast fermentation. In 2001, I continued my research career at the University of Hawaii, learning molecular biology techniques. I joined UNE in 2004 and since then successfully established proteome analysis at UNE and recently set up a medium-scale proteomic mass spectrometry facility. Currently, using proteomic approaches, I aim to understand the role of cytoskeletal proteins in tumor cell invasion, metastasis and cancer drug resistance.
