Trained as Paediatric Emergency Specialist at Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick, becoming a Staff specialist consultant in Emergency in 2002. Work involved teaching and supervision of junior medical staff as well as collaborative research as part of Paediatric research network (PREDICT). Moved to Armidale in 2010 to undertake position at SRM and general paediatrc appointment at Armidale Rural referral Hospital. Current work involves teaching paediatrics to 4th year undergraduate medical students and teaching in earlier years of the course. Recent research projects have involved Paediatric Pain management in rural emergency departments and management of Developmental Dysplasia of the Hips in rural setting. Working as General Paediatrician and Clinical Director of Paediatrics at Armidale Rural Referral hospital managing inpatient neonates, children and adolescents as well as outpatient care.
