研究领域

Chemical defence mechanisms in trees (Cyanogenesis, monoterpene, natural product) Clonal forestry eucalypts (Essential oil, tissue culture, eucalypt, clone) Effects of atmospheric change on plants Phytoremediation of gold mine tailings (Arsenic, food chain, Phytoremediation)

Ian has published widely on plant biochemistry. His group’s main interest is in the way plants use biologically active chemicals to defend themselves against herbivores. Many of the research findings have commercial applications, and the group has collaborated on these with several companies over the last few years
