Slobodan is a Research Fellow in the School of Chemical Engineering and Analytical Science. Slobodan holds a BA and an MA in Philosophy from the University of Sarajevo (Bosnia), an MA (Distinction) in Politics and Security from University College London and a PhD in Environmental Strategy from the University of Surrey. Slobodan joined the Sustainable Industrial Systems Group in CEAS as Simon Industrial and Professional Fellow in January 2008. He has extensive research experience, having worked as an academic researcher and consultant on a wide range of sustainable development issues in the UK and abroad for many years. Slobodan is currently working on social sustainability assessment of carbon capture and utilization (CCU) processes.

Slobodans research interests are in the area of sustainable development, including urban sustainability, environmental ethics, sustainability assessment and corporate sustainability.
