个人简介
I am a Research Assistant in the School of Chemistry, looking at extracting useful chemicals or products from waste agricultural biomass, and an Associate Lecturer in the School of Life Sciences. Until recently I was also a Research Assistant in the School of Life Sciences looking at the toxic effects of the biofuel butanol on biological membranes. I am interested in reducing environmental impacts by the use of industrial biotechnology. Subject Specialism Stability of lipid bilayers & cell membranes; industrial biotechnology (biorefining) & biofuels. Qualifications MSc Sustainable Bioenergy & Industrial Biotechnology — University of Nottingham, 2015 MSc Environmental Management — Coventry University, 2006 PhD Biochemistry — King’s College, London, 1992 BSc Botany — Bangor University, 1988 Professional Affiliations Biochemical Society — Member Institution of Environmental Sciences — MIEnvSc Society for the Environment — Chartered Environmentalist
