Dr. Adams received both her bachelor of science and doctor of pharmacy degrees from the University of Cincinnati, and she completed her pharmacy practice residency training at the University of Kentucky.

Areas of clinical emphasis include gastroesophageal reflux disease, hypertension, diabetes, women's health and thromboembolic disorders. Areas of research include diabetes, hypertension and outcome analysis.
