Research interests of the Peeples lab are in the field of biochemical engineering, with particular focus on bioprocesses under extreme environments and environmentally beneficial biocatalysis. Specific interests include interfacial catalysis, engineering stability in microbial catalysts, microbial physiology in extreme environments, and enhancing efficiencies of environmental toxin biodegradation.
