I am interested in the behaviour, communication and physiology of crustacean and the sustainability of the shellfish fisheries. My recent work has focussed on two different subject areas: the impacts of off- and inshore construction work on commercial shellfish stocks and potential mitigation and re-stocking strategies; spatial & temporal locomotion behaviour in newly released Nephrops norvegicus using acoustic telemetry and dive surveys as part of the FP7 project NEPHROPS.
