Ed is an experienced health economist, specializing in modelling the cost effectiveness of new medical interventions. He trained at The National Clinical Guideline Centre where he helped develop a number of NICE clinical guidelines. He has a master’s degree in International health policy from London School of Economics, and is a bachelor of science in Biochemistry. Recent work includes a cost effectiveness analyses of natriuretic peptide testing and specialist management in patients suspected of acute heart failure; and a cost effectiveness analysis of dose optimisation of a novel biologic for patients with moderate to severe psoriasis. Within the field of health technology assessment Ed specializes in cohort simulation of new diagnostic, surgical, medical or organizational strategies for acute and chronic health conditions in developed health care settings.
