Graduating as a Physiotherapist from UEL, I established my career in the rehabilitation of brain injured adults and investigating the control of movement. Following my Masters qualification from UCL in 2004, I moved from the Regional Neurological Rehabilitation Unit at the Homerton University Hospital to teach neurology for Physiotherapy at UEL.I have had a leading role in establishing the current Physiotherapy BSc Hons programme and more recently the Pg Cert in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.The focus of my PhD research studies is the investigation of feed-forward motor activity involved in maintaining standing balance during arm reach using robotic equipment. I am a keen member of ACPIN and involved with the Society for Research in Rehabilitation.
