I am the lead of ethics teaching at Dundee Medical School, also coordinating interdisciplinary learning in ethics across the University’s Schools of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing. In addition to these, I teach ethics in the three schools, as well as contribute to teaching Global Health, particularly on issues of global heath ethics. My background is in social sciences and philosophy, and my university education was at Charles University, Prague and Masaryk University, Brno (both in the Czech Republic) and at Colorado State University, USA. I hold a PhD in Ethics. As well as teaching and producing courses in ethics at Masaryk University, I have previously taught and conducted research at various UK universities including the University of Warwick, Lancaster University, the University of Sheffield and the University of Birmingham. My teaching and research interests are in various areas of ethics, particularly ethics applied to healthcare (medical ethics and clinical ethics), research ethics, and ethics of biotechnology as well as animal and environmental ethics
