Linda Irvine is a Senior Research Fellow and Trials Manager. She has worked in Public Health at the University of Dundee since 1997. Linda’s first degree is in nursing. Her PhD, awarded in 2000, was based on a randomised controlled trial of a smoking cessation intervention for parents of children with asthma.

Linda’s current research interest is in the prevention of alcohol related harm.

Research areas that Linda has worked on include: childhood asthma; physical activity among older people; the diet of disadvantaged young children; and prescribing during pregnancy.
