研究领域
Stuart Haigh has extensive experience using geotechnical centrifuge modelling to investigate a wide array of research problems, ranging from liquefaction of slopes during earthquakes to the long-term behaviour of foundations for offshore wind-turbines. His interests in the dynamics of soils have led him to investigate a variety of research areas, including earthquake-induced liquefaction of soils, the cyclic upheaval buckling of offshore oil pipelines, and dynamic slope stability during Atterberg’s liquid limit test. Stuart continues to carry out research in a wide variety of areas of geotechnics using physical and numerical modelling to investigate the behaviour of geotechnical system
