Dr Graham has a long-standing interest in acoustic emissions associated with fluid flow. These are the source of noise in many transportation applications, and are also an issue in renewable energy generation. In road transportation, another significant contributor is sound due to tyre vibrations. Work on this topic, in both the interior and exterior contexts, is ongoing. Finally, Dr Graham is currently active in the field of aircraft fuel efficiency. In particular, he is working on studies to assess the future potential of laminar-flying-wing aircraft.
