Dr. Ruoxue Yan is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering. She received her Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from UC Berkeley (2010) with a designated emphasis on nanoscience and nanotechnology, a M.S. degree (2005) and a B.S. degree (2002) in Chemistry from Tsinghua University. Her research is focused on synthesis, processing and fabrication of high performance nanomaterials for advanced electronics, photonics and biological applications. Her lab is currently engaged in research concerning optical biosensing, flexible electronics, surface and tip enhanced Raman spectroscopy, and the development of advanced nanoscale chemical imaging tools.
