Our main research interest is focused on understanding the molecular basis of drug (anthelmintic) resistance in parasites and in the identification of novel drug targets. We are currently interested in how nematodes metabolize drugs and the potential role of such mechanisms in drug resistance. Our research undertakes genomic and genetic approaches with both parasites and the free-living nematode Caenorhabditis elegans as a model system. The lab also has projects involving the population genetics, molecular epidemiology and molecular diagnostics of parasitic nematodes. Please visit the lab web page for further details.
