I completed a PhD in immunology and continued my research looking at cellular signalling mechanisms. However, after taking up a teaching post in 2003 my research interests have moved towards enhancing the student learning experience. My current research interests are focussed on identifying effective strategies for enhancing academic skills development in diverse student cohorts and involve developing strategies for enhancing student integration, peer learning and support and group work.
