研究领域
How bacteria are able to cause disease in the respiratory tract of mammalian hosts The role played by the normal flora that colonize the upper respiratory tract Generating a database that will contain a catalog of bacteria colonizing the upper respiratory tract (by using the polymerase chain reaction to amplify specific regions of the 16s rRNA gene) Correlations between colonization with certain organisms and other syndromes such as asthma, allergy or susceptibility to pathogenic, infectious agents The relationship of Mycobacteria tuberculosis with the human host The role of specific anti-fungal compounds in the inhibition of M. tuberculosis growth
