Prof. Naresh Singhal has over 25 years of academic experience and has recently concentrated on two critical areas affected by global climate change. The first area is uncovering the mechanisms behind cyanobacteria outbreaks and the accumulation of antibiotic resistance genes in natural water bodies. The second focus is studying the degradation of organic micropollutants by microorganisms in sewage treatment plants and developing transformation strategies for greenhouse gases.
