研究领域
Lee's research interests include metabolomics, lipidomics, chemometrics, sample profiling methods and pharmaceutical and clinical analysis.
His more recent work is concerned with pharmaceutical analysis and metabolomics. Metabolomics is the global study of all the small molecules (or metabolites) produced in the human body, looking for causes of disease. This provides possible sources of new drugs and new ways of diagnosing disease based upon a distinct change in the body. Global profiling of metabolites involves using a mixture of techniques for the analysis of all different types of molecules. This includes:
Ultra and high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC and HPLC) Gas chromatography and mass spectrometry using single and triple quadrupoles and time-of-flight instruments
