Roger's main research interest is environmental analysis, and he is currently concentrating on environmental pharmaceutical analysis. He has written two books on environmental analysis, and his ‘Introduction to Environmental Analysis’ has recently been published in Chinese. Before his appointment at Sunderland, he was a research fellow in chemical engineering at the University of Bradford, and worked in a process plant manufacturing company specialising in atmospheric pollution control equipment.
