个人简介

Gemma Donovan is a Senior Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice within the School of Pharmacy and also works as part of the Medicines Optimisation Team in Sunderland Clinical Commissioning. She graduated from the University of Manchester with a Master of Pharmacy in 2008 and went on to complete an MSc in Clinical Pharmacy at Robert Gordon University in 2014. She started her current post at the University of Sunderland in 2013. Gemma completed her pre-registration pharmacist training at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and upon qualification worked as a pharmacist across a range of areas including as a community pharmacist, hospital pharmacist and as a practice support pharmacist in GP practices.

Gemma’s research interests include the contribution of community pharmacy to medicines optimisation and public health, as well as the role of clinical pharmacists in primary care.
