研究领域

Metabolomics is a fascinating new field for understanding of biological systems and discovering new biomarkers. A minimally modified silica hydride stationary phase operating in the ANP (Aqueous Normal Phase) mode with MS compatible mobile phases is an appropriate material for the retention and separation of hydrophilic compounds typically found in metabolic samples. Coupled with detection by mass spectrometry, the analysis of multicomponent mixtures of hydrophilic compounds can be accomplished. The Diamond Hydride stationary phase used in ANP mode for separation of metabolites was developed at SJSU in Prof. Pesek's group. It is now commercialized.
