Dr. Steve O. Hernandez is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Arts and Education at St. Thomas University. He also serves as the program director for the Bachelors of Arts in Health Records and Information Management (HRIM) program and Program Coordinator for the Masters of Science in Instructional Technology (MSIT) program. Dr. Hernandez earned his Bachelors of Science (B.S.), Masters of Science (M.S.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees in Computer Science from Nova Southeastern University located in Davie, Florida. Prior to joining STU in 2014, Dr. Hernandez amassed over 15 years of industry and research experience in a variety of roles, including Systems Administrator, Software Engineer, Chief Researcher, Chief Information Officer (CIO), and Chief Technical Consultant serving a variety of industries and organizations, including non-profits, government and military organizations, higher education institutions, and Fortune 500 companies.
