Dr. Iliescu completed Nephrology training at the University of Toronto and joined the Division of Nephrology at the Queen’s University in 1995. He completed a Masters of Science in Clinical Epidemiology in 2000. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Queen’s University, Medical Director of the hemodialysis program at Kingston General Hospital, and Regional Medical Lead for the Ontario Renal Network for the South-East LHIN.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Nephrology, and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and maintains certification of the American Board of Internal Medicine in Nephrology and Internal Medicine. He established the active Nephrology training program at Queen’s University and served as Program Director from 2000 – 2005. Research interest is in clinical outcomes in patients with CKD.
