研究领域
I am interested in the functioning of cys-loop ligand gated ion channels (CysLGICs) in insect species, including those of the mosquito. Mosquitoes are becoming increasingly resistant to insecticides, which bind to these receptors. Therefore, by understanding these receptors in more detail, we may be able to identify the mechanism for insecticide resistance. This research therefore has implications for the spread of tropical diseases, including Malaria and Lymphatic Filariasis.
