My research focuses on understanding how landscape structure affects ecosystem services in urban systems. Currently our lab is investigating the spatial distribution of an environmental amenity - urban tree canopy – and how it relates to the built and social structure of cities. We are also studying how lead is distributed across the landscape and how experiences of urban gardening and soil lead testing shape community.
