个人简介

William (Bill) Scott received his B.Sc. (Hons) and M.Sc. in Condensed Matter Physics from the University of Manitoba. He then moved to Vancouver where he obtained his PhD in radio astronomy from UBC. From there Bill moved to Calgary and worked at the University of Calgary, joining an international team of scientists studying the central cores of active galaxies. Moving down the road, Bill then began working as a part-time instructor at Mount Royal, and in 2009 became a full-time faculty member.

研究领域

Radio astronomy, condensed matter physics.

While Bill's current role at Mount Royal is mainly concerned with teaching, he still has a strong interest in astronomy as a whole, and radio astronomy in particular. Bill has also become interested in methods of teaching physics, and is exploring new pedagogies for teaching physics and astronomy.
