Dr Shens research centres on process modelling and design of reacting flows in various reactors, particularly in energy-intensive processes and reactors such as process metallurgy, pulverized coal combustion and solar cell synthesis reactors. His research interests range from understanding fundamentals to optimising & developing new, cleaner and more efficient technologies in the above industry processes., Process modelling and simulation, Process metallurgy, Coal unitization and combustion, Renewable energy e.g. combustion of solid fuel (blends) and photovoltaics solar cells.
