My general field of interest is the development of original mathematical models useful to understand and predict the behaviour of materials. Systems of interest range from traditional structural materials (alloys and composites) to emerging functional materials like energy-storage materials and soft materials. I am particularly interested in problems coupling mass transport, chemical reactions and inelastic deformations in solids.
