Mark is a biology instructor in the Department of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Arts & Science at MacEwan University and has been at MacEwan since 1988. He completed his B.Sc. (Zoology) and M.Sc. (Zoology) at the University of Alberta. His M.Sc. thesis was entitled Song, Vegetation, and Sound Production in Blue Grouse. Population ecology, animal behaviour and ornithology are his primary areas of biological speciality, although he also have a strong interest in insects, particularly odonates (dragonflies and damselflies) and butterflies.
