Laurie is interested in evironmental chemistry. She co-developed and instructed the Environmental Chemistry 270 lab. Laurie's interest in chemical education include pedagogy. The foundation of her teaching philosophy is based on the premise that learning is a life long journey where individuals acquire knowledge and tools through observation, experience and instruction.
