个人简介

Andrew joined the department as a research associate in May 2012 and is currently working on a project funded by Cynar Plc., which aims to provide the company with insights into their process for converting waste plastics to liquid fuels. Prior to his current role, he worked as a research associate in the Department of Materials at Loughborough, where he was involved in two industrially sponsored projects in the area of polyvinylchloride (PVC) synthesis and processing. Andrew obtained his BSc (Hons) in Chemistry with Materials from Loughborough University in 2005, before going on to complete his PhD in synthetic phosphine coordination chemistry under the supervision of Drs Martin Smith, Mark Elsegood and George Weaver within the Department during 2008.

研究领域

Pyrolysis of end of life plastics and other waste materials. The scale up of industrially relevant chemical processes. The aqueous and non-aqueous synthesis of PVC. General coordination and phosphine chemistry.
