Simon is a senior lecturer in the School of Social Work. He qualified as a social worker thirteen years ago, and has spent his social work career working in statutory mental health services in London.

The relationship between law and social work, and how social workers use the law in action. Simon is currently exploring how Approved Mental Health Professionals use mental health law in action when considering making an application for compulsory admission to a psychiatric hospital.
