Dr. Gary D. Walford is an associate professor of medicine in the department of cardiology. He is also the director of White Marsh cardiology at Johns Hopkins. He is currently also active staff at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center. He specializes in cardiology, cardiovascular disease and heart disease. Dr. Walford received a bachelor’s of arts in chemistry from Wesleyan University. He received a medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical College. Postdoctoral work was completed first as an intern and then through a residency at S.U.N.Y. Upstate Medical Center. Dr. Walford joined the Johns Hopkins community in 1980 as a post-doctoral cardiology fellow. Dr. Walford has published extensively and is a fellow at the American College of Cardiology.
