Dr. Larissa Shimoda is an Professor of Medicine in the Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Department. She studies pulmonary arterial responses to chronic hypoxia, hypoxic pulmonary vasoconstriction and oxidant-mediated lung injury. Dr. Shimoda holds a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree and PhD, all in biomedical engineering, from Marquette University. She completed a fellowship at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine before joining the faculty.
