Dr. Behnam Saberi is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He earned his medical degree at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, completed an internal medicine residency, gastroenterology and hepatology fellowship program at University of Southern California (USC) and completed an advanced fellowship in liver transplant hepatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester. MN. Dr. Saberi is board certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology, hepatology and transplant hepatology. He is a member of professional societies including the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), Mayo Clinic Alumni Association. Dr. Saberi is specialized in endoscopy, general hepatology and transplant hepatology. His research interests are in the field of alcoholic liver disease, hepatitis C, liver transplant outcomes and cancer genetics related to hepatocellular carcinoma.
