Dr. James Potter is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Gastroenterology and Hepatology division. He studies the effect of ethanol and its metabolites on the a2(I) and a1(I) collagen promoters, role of leptin on fibrogenesis, role of Kupffer cells, cytokines, retinoic acid and leptin in stellate cell trans-differentiation and collagen production and hormonal regulation.
