Susan Mayer, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Division of Cardiology at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, as well as an instructor at the Johns Hopkins School of Cardiac Ultrasound. She is also director of the Adult Echocardiography Lab at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center and director of the Advanced Echo Fellowship Program. Her research focuses on echocardiography and non-invasive imaging. Dr. Mayer earned her undergraduate degree at Loyola University of Chicago and medical degree at the Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She completed a residency at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas Department of Internal Medicine where she was an assistant professor before joining the Johns Hopkins faculty in 2004.
